Specialty training at the Department of ENT Diseases, Head, Neck and Facial Plastic Surgery, Communication Disorders of the Municipal Hospital of Fulda (Marburg University), under the guidance of the prestigious Prof. Wolfgang Draf.  

Attending ENT specialist in the ENT-Department of Saarland University, Homburg/Saar, Germany. Afterwards, served as an Assistant Professor in the Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic, Head and Throat Surgery of the Erlangen- Nurnberg University Hospital, under Prof. Iro, who took over the direction of the Clinic from Prof. Wigand, an ENT Prof of international reputation.  During this period, I vigorously emphasized on my surgical training in endonasal, endoscopic surgery of the nose and paranasal sinuses, otosurgery, surgical ongology, trauma surgery of the Head and Neck, facial plastic and cosmetic surgery as well as in skull base surgery. Additionally, I was in charge of the clinical and surgical training of 16 interns in the ENT Department of Saarland University and 21 interns in the Erlangen- Nurnberg University Hospital ENT Department and I served as an active member in various University Committees.

I was elected Assistant Prof of the 1^st ENT Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) Medical School. I served the AHEPA University hospital where I was actively involved in treatment of patients in the 1^st ENT Department, performing the whole spectrum of ENT surgery including ear, nose and throat surgery, surgical oncology, as well as skull base surgery in collaboration with the AUTH Neurosurgery Department.

I was elected Professor and Director of the 2^nd AUTH ENT Department in Papageorgiou Hospital, where I reformed and organized the department, setting the ground for future clinical and basic research and innovation. 

I was elected Director of the 1^st ENT Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) Medical School in AHEPA hospital. I continue to serve as a Visiting Professor in the Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic, Head and Throat Surgery of the Erlangen- Nurnberg University Hospital, where I annually give lectures on Otorhinolaryngology for students of Medical School and additionally I participate in the annually held operative courses in facial plastic surgery with international participation that I first organized as a consultant in 1996.
